Kena's First Day of Pre School

Kena was so excited to go to school that she woke up at 4:30am that morning. She did really good when we got there and she didn't even cry. But when she had to get on the bus to go to day care... she cried and asked for her mommy. On day 2 I tried dropping her off, but that didn't go to well. I dropped her off at the drop off area and she got confussed and stood there with her backpack in her hands crying at my car as I drove off. It was so sad. When I picked her up she told me that school was a lot better that day. Today when I took her in to her class she didn't want to stay there by herself and she cried when I left. I am sure she will get used to it, but it is always sad for a mother to see her little girl so sad!

Well Mike's football team went to the State Semi Final game again this past season. Around November we found out that I was pregnant with our second child. Then around January Mike was given the job as the new Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Waco Connally High school. It is a 3A school in Waco, TX. He moved their the beginning of Feburary and Kena and I stayed in Ganado to finish school and the softball season. My softball team made it to the play offs again and lost in the second round. Kena and I joined mike in Waco in the middle of June. Now we are all in Waco together. I had baby Kyla Kae on July 23, 2010 at 3pm. She is such a sweet heart. Kena will be turning 4 August 30th and she is so independent. She loves having a baby sister and can't wait until she is big enough to play with her. I will be teaching only this year... I decided to hang up my whistle and focus on my girls. Maybe when they get older I will coach again. I will be teaching 7th grade math at the jr. High. Well that is pretty much it. Not to exciting.

The last time I was on my blog...my friend Terra had died. We never found out what happened they just said it was natural causes. I miss Terra very much but I know she is in heaven with our heavenly father and that she is watching over all of her loved ones. Miss you Terra!!!

My friend Terra died in her sleep a few months back and we still don't know what caused it. We miss her so much and I just wanted to post some pics of her. She was an amazing woman and I wish I could be half the woman that she was. The song playing is called, Sissy's Song by Alan Jackson. Terra asked her husband to play this song at her funeral if she were to die only 2 weeks before her death. It is almost like her spirit new it was coming. It has been hard for her family and friends to except that she is really gone. But I know that she is in heaven with God and Jesus watching over all of her loved ones.

The rest of the songs remind me of her.

Kena had a puppy party!!! We painted all the kids faces and turned them into puppy's. Then we made dog collars, and put on dog tattoos. They had so much fun. My favorite part was when we went out side and all the kids got to pretend to be puppy's for treats. I would tell them to speak and they all started barking...it was so cute!

This was our girls night out for our friend Terra Hurt's birthday, but she died in her sleep 2 weeks before we were going to go. We decided we should go anyway, because Terra would have wanted us too.

We had so much fun! We met Ricky Rockets brother and he invited us to the buses to eat. It was surreal...meeting Ricky Rocket and Cece. We didn't get to meet Brett, because he had his own bus and never came out. But, we did meet Big John and he is big. Good time!!!!

We had a blast in Park City...We stayed in a super nice condo, went shopping, put rock star toes on, went to a nice restaurant and I ate a $38 steak (that was just the price of the steak, but it was the best steak I have ever had), listened to a band, and went dancing.

I miss the mountains so much! My friend Kaci and her daughter Paige came to Utah with me and they couldn't believe how big they were. You forget when you grew up around them.

Me, Kaci, my sisters and my cousins...shopping in Park City. That bear was so hot...it hurt my hand when I touched it. OUCH!
Bridel Veil Falls was Kaci's favorit part of the trip. We stop to look at it on our way to the Prove river to float with Brian Myers. Now that is a whole other story. Kaci got knocked out of her tube and then the tree hit my sister Helen and then it knocked my brother in law Rusty in the water. It was pretty scary...I thought for sure somebody was hurt. But we were all fine. I have to laugh about it now. Who gets hurt floating the provo river? Oh ya I don't remember it being that cold...I thought I was going to freeze to death. It was misserable!!!

I caught a 26in Red Fish when I went fishing with Mike. It was so much fun bringing it in. It even bruised my stomach.

This is what Mike reeled in...LOL
Mike actually caught this. It must be a world record for the smallest fish caught on a hook. This isn't the only fish he caught...he caught a 21 in trout too. We had so much fun! Mike was so sweet...I don't like baiting my hook or taking the fish off either. ( I always injure or kill the fish when I take them off) So the whole day he baited my hook and took off my fish. We caught a lot of fish too. Every time he would take a fish off I would catch another one. We caught all kinds...skip jack, sheep head, drum, trout, red fish, flounder, hard head(looks like a catfish), and mike caught a black tip shark, but he was only 22 in so we had to put it back.
We also saw a dolphin while we were out there and he heard Mike catch a fish so he swam around to the back of the boat and waited right there next to the boat. I mean I could have almost touched him. Then when Mike let the fish go he swam under the boat and got it. Then he like flipped around and it was like he was thanking us. So he swam off a little, but we could still see him. When Mike caught another fish he came back by the boat again and when we put the fish in the water he snagged it up. Crazy huh! It felt like we were at Sea World. LOL

We always go to Port O'Connor every year during the 4th or July. This year my friend Nichelle and the gang came to hang out. We had so much fun!!!! I can't wait for them to come and visit again.

Kena and Nichelle are riding on the front of the boat....and I am actually driving this boat by myself. I was so nervous. It is so different driving a boat in the bay then in the lake. But I did it and only crashed it when I was pulling into dock it.

I had Helen's kids for the week end and found out what it would be like to have twins and a one year old.

Santi loves to climb things. He was such a treat. This was the first time I had seen Santi and he was a perfect little angel.

Gigi was throwing a fit so I was making fun of her and right after this pic she slapped me on the face. Oh and you know that I did not put up with that one little bit. To the corner she went! She said she was sorry when she was done and gave me a kiss on my cheek. TT don't play that!!!!

Sweet little Angel. He is so tiny you would never believe that he is 11 months old.

The girls had a blast in Kena's pool. Gigi doesn't like getting her face wet, but after Kena splashed her over ten times she got over it.

These two have a love hate relationship, but when Gigi left Kena kept asking where she was. She misses her new best bud GiGi.

We didn't do a very good job of taking pics this year. Helen wasn't there to take care of that. She stayed in Arizona with Rusty's family. We really missed not having them there with us for Christmas. I especially missed her. I only get to see her once or twice a year. Wish we were loaded so we could see my family at least every other month. We had so much fun visiting the family. I only wish that I had more time to see everybody. I didn't get to see any of my friends and I am so sad about that. Hopefully I will get to see them when I come in the summer. Kena was sick on Christmas Eve and then I got sick and so did Mike. Mike got it real bad. He had it for 2 days and Kena and I only had it for about 12 hrs. I hate puking!!! Other then us getting sick it was a wonderful visit. Mike has wanted to do to things in Utah since we got married...go to the dinosaur museum and eat at Cabala's. Well he finally got to do both on this visit. I got my eyeliner touched up (tatoo) and got to hang with Kellie and Hilly a lot. Boy do I miss being around them. Kena got to play with her cousins and see her Mama Ceci and PaPa. You don't realize how much you miss your family until you are back around them again. I love you all and miss you tonz. Love T, Mike and Kena.

Well Mike and his football team won Friday 14-7 Yeah!!!!! Now the Ganado Indians are one of the last 4 teams in the Texas 1A football. There are 165 teams in 1A football. So we are very very proud of him, his coaching staff and the boys. Next week end we play in College Station at 6pm on Saturday against Cayuga High School. Go Indians!!!!

This is how we pass the time before Thanksgiving dinner in Texas. The men decided that they would try to shoot a gun at a string and see if they could split it in half. Rabe said it wouldn't work because the bullets tips were round. But, they did it any way. Mike was the only one to even hit the string and make it move.

Usually on Friday nights we are at a football game, but this last Friday we didn't have one. So Kena was our entertainment.

I just got my hair done and when I came home Kena said, "AH mamma you look cute!" Then she told me we needed to take a pitcture. She is so sweet!

Would anybody have ever thought that I would have such a girly girl for a daughter! LOL I just love it. I have so much fun dressing her and making her look so adorable.

How cute is she!!! Seriously! The thing on her skirt is called a Mum. I think that is how you spell it. For all of the people in Utah, a mum is what you wear on homecoming her in Texas. They wear them all day at school and to the game that night. They are really really big. The first time I saw one I was like..."What is that?" Kena's is actually very small compared to all the other little kids.

We had so much fun at Kena's Birthday Party this year. We had a Hawaiian party and a lot of people showed up. First we decorated each kids sippy cup. Then we sang Happy Birthday to Kena and she blew out the candle's and then inhaled her cup cake. Then we went out side for a pool party and had a blast. The older kids jumped in and out of the big pool and the little kiddos ran back and forth between the three little pools we had for them. Thank you to Kaci for helping me get things together that day and for the cute idea for the cup cakes. Thank you also to Papi and KK for helping me that morning with Kena and for getting the yard and house ready to decorate.

Growing up

Kena really kind of forced us to grow up a little bit. Now we spend most of our time at home watching her and laughing. It has been real nice living so close to Mike's parents. They have helped a lot with Kena the last two years. I do wish that I could see my family more in Utah. Kena and I just went to Utah this summer and spent 2 weeks there. She had so much fun and still talks about her PaPa and CeCe all the time. We go through the pictures on my phone everyday, because she wants to see O, Elle, Shea, GiGi, and Finners.
